Some of you may remember
that we had signed up Alexa for a music appreciation class last fall.
Every Tuesday, she and I went to the Bulle d'Air in Geneva for her (and
I) to explore and discover sounds, learn to listen and play with various
instruments. It was a great way to spend a morning and I was a
little sad to see it end. Here are a few pictures taken on
the last day of the class when Daddy was finally able to join us.
There is a video of Alexa playing the drums which I would love to be
able to upload but I'm still working on that......

Hurray to nice weather,
outdoor activities, barbeques and good neighbors! A small group of
Marcellaz parents
with children around the same age thought that, with the days
getting longer, it might be nice to take turns hosting casual "early" diners so
that the kids could play outside and we could get to know eachother.
In spite of each family's busy schedule and some rainouts, it
turned out to be a great idea! Our small brood became much more
adept at non-parallel play and us parents thorouhly enjoyed watching
them while sipping wine and trading stories.

At
the end of June, our neighbors Lucille and Benoìt (Paul's parents)
invited us to Les Vans, a great little town in the Ardèche where
Lucille's family has a house. We spent a few days relaxing in the
hammock, swimming in the river and gorging on the area's deliciously
sweet and juicy peaches and apricots. Paul and Alexa had an
absolute blast together!
